4. Если перед местоимениями few и little стоит определен-

Местоимения each и every означают каждый, всякий.

Each
1. Местоимение each употребляется:
• когда речь идет об ограниченном числе лиц (пред-
метов);
• перед исчисляемым существительным в единственном
числе;
• самостоятельно без последующего существительного.
Являясь определителем существительного, each исклю-
чает употребление артикля перед существительным, к
которому оно относится.
Each manager at our office has got a car.
У каждого работника нашего офиса есть автомобиль.
Three representatives were present at the talks. Each was
given a contract form.
На переговорах присутствовало три представителя.
Каждому был дан типовой контракт.
2. Во фразах каждый из… местоимение each употребляется
с предлогом of, после которого следует личное местоиме-
ние в объектном падеже или существительное с опреде-
ленным артиклем the.

Every
1. Местоимение every употребляется по отношению к груп-
пе лиц или предметов и синонимично местоимениям all,
everyone, everything.
2. Местоимение every не может употребляться без последу-
ющего существительного. Оно ставится перед исчисляе-
мым существительным единственного числа и при этом
исключает применение артикля.
Every house will be equipped with central heating
Каждый дом будет оборудован центральным отоплением
(каждый в значении все).
We enjoyed every minute of the film.
Мы наслаждались каждой минутой фильма. (Нам понравился весь фильм).
3. Every может указывать на то, что что-то происходит че-
рез определенные интервалы времени или расстояния.
every day каждый день
every other day через день
every hour каждый час
every fortnight каждые две недели
every ten meters каждые десять метров
You should change the oil every 2,000 miles.

4. Местоимение every образует производные:

5. Когда производные от местоимения every (everybody,

После such и so не употребляется инфинитивная конструкция. Вместо нее в сложносочиненных предложениях
используются such и so в комбинации с союзом that (что)
как средство усиления.
Нельзя сказать:
These trainers are so expensive for me to buy.
Эти кроссовки слишком дорогие для меня, чтобы купить.
Следует сказать:
These trainers are so expensive that I can’t buy them.
Эти кроссовки такие дорогие, что я не могу купить их.
А инфинитивная конструкция употребляется после too и
enough (очень, слишком, достаточно) см. стр. 295
She is too young to give me any advice.

All Whole
All (of) – используется для
выражения общего числа или
количества.
E.g.: all (of) my classmates – все

All может употребляться только с определенным артиклем

All the documents on my table
are top secret.
All (of) используется как с исчисляемыми существительными (во мн. числе) так и с неисчисляемыми существительными (в ед.числе)

NB!!! Обратите внимание, что
артикль ставится после «all»,
это же правило касается и притяжательных местоимений.
All of – очень часто используется вместе с объектными местоимениями (it, them, us)

Слово «Whole» несет в себе
смысловую нагрузку целостности, т.е. что-то целиком, пол-
ностью, неделимо.
E.g.: the whole story – вся история,
