You work at a conference center. You are having an international conference next week. Make a telephone call to one of the guest speakers and ask about these points.

You are in a high-class restaurant together with your business partner from a foreign country. Help him/her to make an order.
Choose a starter from the list of options: soup, salad, stuffed tomatoes. Recommend the main course. The possible options are grilled fish, roast duck,
beef stew, steak.
Offer coffee with ice-cream, cheesecake or apple pie as a dessert.
Tell him/her not to worry about the bill. This is your local tradition to pay for your guest.
Student B
You are visiting a high-class restaurant in another country with your host. Ask him/her to help you with the order.
Make your choice from the list of offered starters. Choose the main course. Ask for some vegetables with the meat dish that you
have chosen.

offer to organise a sightseeing tour; hesitate about visiting only one museum: you don’t know the preferences of
your guest; offer to be ready for both options (a tour or a museum) and ask
your guest;
offer to visit a theatre; agree with a ballet (not opera) because it is a local attraction; agree with a national restaurant, offer to find the best.
Student B
Your firm is having a guest from another country. Discuss his/her entertainment pro­gram. You know that he/she is interested in everything national. Consider these points:
disagree with a sightseeing tour: you have free time for entertaining only after
