There are many tools in the machine-shop. There are electric grinder, vice, jack, drilling machine, and other tools. Some tools are portable. They are snippers, file, nippers, cutting pliers, adjustable wrench, chiesel and so on. When the watch engineer needs some tools he asks the motorman to bring them to him. He says for example, “Bring me pliers!” The motorman can ask him, “Flat-nose pliers or round-nose pliers?” He answers, “Round-nose pliers”. And the motorman brings him round-nose pliers.

The motorman can use many tools in his work. He can screw bolts with a screw-driver. He can hammer in nails with a hammer. He can solder a pipe with a solderer. He can weld a hole with a welder.
