From 1777 until the end of the following year, Mozart lived in Paris. Angela Robson, the famous English writer, was born in Leeds in 1935 of Irish parents, the second of four sisters……..she was five, her father lost his job as a railway engineer. Consequently, the Robson family moved to Bristol, where Angela completed her primary school……..moving back to Leeds in 1946.

…………she was …………attending secondary school, she wrote her first novel, “Back to the start”, a story of love and adventure. At the age of 18, when she took her A levels, Angela had………..decided to become a novelist.

In April, 1955, at a literary conference in London, Angela met Harold Kingsley, then a promising literary critic, and before the end of that year married him. They set up home in St Albans, not far from London, and…………began a life of work, travel and study, Harold was able to find Angela a job as a foreign correspondent for the Daily Telegraph and they were both away from England most of the time. They did not really settle down at home……..they had a child, in 1958. Three years………………., Harold died.

Angela was shocked by her husband's death. …………then she written two other books, but they had not been very successful. In 1964 she gave up her job with the Telegraph and moved to Norwich where she still lives. Her first really successful novel did not appear until 1971, ……….she published 'Down by the riverside', a detective story set in America in the early fifties. It was a tremendous success ………….the very start: it sold over 35,000 copies in the first week and……………a few days Angela found herself a world-famous novelist.

At the age of forty, ………….she was touring the States to promote her book, Angela got married for the second time. 'I feel life starts anew every day of my life,' she said on that occasion. Now back in England, she has taken up journalism …………..and has published three highly successful novels in the last ten years.
