The farmer has a horse. −
The farm is big. −
The cat catches mice. −
Alice sees a box. −
The box is small.
the roof of a house − крыша дома
the ceiling of the room − потолок комнаты
the middle of the hall − середина зала
the other side of the street − другая сторона улицы
the first turning on the right − первый поворот направо
the largest river in England − крупнейшая река в Англии
The earth goes round the sun. −
The moon goes round the earth. −
Look at the sky. −
We live in the north. −
The sun rises in the east. −
It sets in the west. −
It is warm in the south. −
книга – книги a book – books
студент – студенты a student – students
We are students.
They are women.
a man – men (человек, мужчина), a woman – women (женщина),
a tooth – teeth (зуб), a foot – feet (стопа), a child – children (ребенок)
a mouse – mice (мышь), a goose – geese (гусь), an ox – oxen (бык);
a sheep − sheep (овца), a deer – deer (олень), a fish – fish (рыба),
a trout – trout (форель), a salmon – salmon (лосось, семга),
a spacecraft – spacecraft (космический аппарат);
заканчивающиеся на –f/-fe +-s→ves:
a calf – calves (теленок), a half – halves (половина),
a knife – knives (нож), a leaf – leaves (лист),
a life – lives (жизнь), self – selves (собственная личность, сущность),
a thief – thieves (вор), a wolf – wolves (волк).
