3.4. Слова, які виражають ступінь якості
Крім порівняльних конструкцій перед прикметником можуть вживатися слова, які виражають ступінь якості:rather, fairly — занадто, дуже, значно;too much, too far — занадто;pretty — досить;ever so — дуже;quite — досить, цілком.

3.5. Переклад прикметників, які по формі співпадають з прислівниками
В англійській мові існує група слів, які по формі можуть бути прикметниками і прислівниками, тобто бути означенням іменника або дієслова. Визначити, якою частиною мови виступає таке слово, допомагає позиція слова у реченні:
1) якщо слово входить в іменне словосполучення, воно є прикметником і відповідає на питання який?
2) якщо слово стоїть після дієслова, воно є прислівником і відповідає на питання як?коли?
