2.7. Багатозначність слова it
Слово it може займати в реченні як ізольовану позицію, так і входити до складу словосполучень. У першому випадку воно є замінником іменника, що йому передує, і тому перекладається займенникамивін, вона, воно. Якщо словоitвходить до складу словосполучень, воно перекладається: 1)це; 2)саметой; 3)не перекладається.

Переклад слова one залежить від його функції у реченні: якозначеннявоно входить до іменного словосполучення і перекладається числівникомодин; якдодатоквоно замінює іменник, який йому передує, і перекладається циміменником; як формальнийпідмет— воно входить до складу неозначеної структури іне перекладається.
