Глагол «to wish»
В отдельную группу условных предложений в английском
языке выносят предложения с глаголом to wish, который в
данном случае будет переводится как «жаль». Вот какие
формы используются в этих условных предложениях: если
действие в придаточном предложении происходит
одновременно с действием, выраженном в главном предложении, мы используем в придаточном предложении форму
глагола простого прошедшего времени или were для всех лиц.
Example: I wish she were here with us me. – Жаль, что еѐ
нет здесь с нами. I wish I could ask her. – Жаль, что я не могу
еѐ спросить.
Если действие придаточного предложения предшествует
действию в главном предложении, то мы употребляем глагол
в форме совершенного прошедшего времени
Examples: I wish I had seen this film yesterday. – Жаль,
что я не видел этот фильм вчера.

3) I wish you had told me about your plans for Sunday in
advance.
