Российского университета транспорта. Практикум содержит
необходимую информацию и задания для подготовки к сдаче
кандидатского минимума по английскому языку, а именно, рассказ о
научном исследовании, реферирование статьи, перевод научного
текста. Также в практикуме представлены такие важные для
исследователя темы, как описание графиков различного типа и
подготовки презентации. Практикум может быть использован и для
подготовки по дисциплинам «English for Academics», «Academic
Writing».

How To Speak about Your Scientific Research
1) Start with introducing yourself and talking about your
previous studies. Use the following phrases.

scientific advisor give his/her first name and surname OR

3) Speak about the subject of your scientific research. Mind that
it is difficult to comprehend the sentences longer than 9 words.
Try to formulate the subject of your scientific research not
longer than 4 words.

4) Speak about the objectives, relevance, theoretical and
