All vessels proceeding to ports in Jersey must call Jersey Coastguard on VHF Ch 82 at least 1h belore arrival, stating the loIlowing information:

(2)Number 01 passengers and vehicles bound for Jersey.

PORT STATE NOTIFICATIONS:

(1) The New Inspection Regime (NIR) of the Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State ContrOl (PMoU) has introduced areporling system to be complied with for aU vessels arriving or leaving aport or anchorage wilhin the Paris MoU region.This new regulation came into effect on the 1st January 2011.

(2) The operator. agent or Master shall notify, 72h in advance of arrival in port. if vessels are eligible for an expanded inspection (3 days pre-arrival notiflcalion).

(3) Vessels subject to expanded inspections are

(a) All vessels with a high risk profile

(b) Any passenger vessel. oil tanker, gas or chemical tanker or bulk carrier, older Ihan 12 years of age.

(4) The NfR also foresees the obligation to notify, 24h in advance, for vessels bound 101 a PMoU member port (24 hours pre-arrival notifications) or allhe lalest. althe time the vessel leaves the preYIOUS port, Illhe voyage time is less than 24 hours or if lhe port of call is not known or it is changed during the voyage, as soon as this information is available.

(5) The reports shall be sent 10 the Port Authorities.

(6) Failure to report the requested information may cause a vessel to be targeted for inspection.

(b)Vessels approaching from the SE: 49°08'·50N2°0S'·19W(0·4n miles S of Demie de Pas Lt)

NOTE:

S. Helier VTS has a very limited VHF range (about 8 n miles maximum). Messages may be sent through Jersey Coastguard on VHF (See ALRS Volume 1 (NP281)).

(2) In all cases, vessels should keep S. Heliei VTS advised of any likely disruption to

the stated ETD.
