was the main centre of the early culture of

Kyivan Rus. 5) In the centre of the city there

is St Sophia’s Cathedral. 6) Other places of

interest in Kyiv are the Golden Gates, St

Andrew’s Church. 7) While visiting Kyiv,

you will hardly miss a chance of going along

Khreshchatyk, one of the most beautiful

streets in our country. 8) I hope you’ll look

at these pictures and have a desire to see the

sights with your own eyes.

who want their children to be happy andmake no mistakes. 3) Parents have big life

experience and they always know what to do

in different situations. 4) If children don’t

listen to their parents, who will they listen

to? 5) They need guidance through their lives

and that’s what parenting is all about — guidance

and love. 6) Parents have already gone

through what their children are experiencing

so they know what the pitfalls are. 7) They’re

not going to let a young person fall into the

same traps and help to solve the problem

they see you’re having. 8) As for me, I usually

ask for my parents’ and grandparents’

advice. 9) They are very wise and experienced

enough to tell me the best way out of my

problems. 10) Sure I will not ask the older

generation about the new technologies or the

latest fashion. 11) But there are things that

are never out of time. 12) I mean love and

care, and friendship. 13) Sure, when we don’t

agree about something, we talk the problem

over and find a reasonable way out. 14) I hope

everybody has the same understanding with

their parents.
