Предисловие
Настоящие методические указания (МУ) построены на основе коммуникативно-ориентированного принципа обучения английскому языку.
Цель МУ – научить студентов поддерживать социальные и профессиональные контакты, дать им знания о необходимом уровне этикета (в том числе и в межкультурном контексте). В них использованы современные аутентичные материалы.
МУ формируют у студентов навыки поиска, отбора и критического осмысления интересующей их информации, продуктивные навыки устной и письменной речи.
МУ предназначено для студентов I, II курсов экономических специальностей.

Types of Business Organization
There are many types of business organization:
a company (UK), corporation (US);
limited company (firm where shareholders’ liability is limited);
multinational company (organization operating in several countries);
parent company (company which owns another);
subsidiary (affiliate) company (firm owned by a parent company);
holding company (firm, usually without commercial activity created to be parent to other companies);
public company (company whose shares are publicly available);
nationalized company (company owned by the state);
Offshore company (firm based in a tax haven to avoid higher taxation);
minority interest company (company in which another firm has less than 50% interest), and cooperative (democratic firm owns by workers).
There are also other organizations with their specific aims and activities: a society (friendly association of people); a government agency (part of the state administration); a charity organization (organization to relieve poverty and help the needy people).
