My Plans for the Fifth form
My name is ……………. .
I’m going to tell you about my plans for the fifth form.
I’m 9 now. Next year I’m going to be 10. I’m pupil of the fourth form now. But next year I’m going to be a pupil of the fifth form. I’m going to have new subjects in my time table such as History, World Literature, Ukrainian Literature, Labour Training. We are going to study the second foreign language- German or French.
I’m going to be a good pupil. I’m going to study hard and get good marks. I’m going to take an active part in school life.
I hope my plans will come true.
Schools in England
Schools in England are not the same as in Ukraine. Children begin to go to school when they are 5. From 5 to 7 they are in infant schools. An infant school is like a kindergarten. Children draw, sing and listen to the stories which the teacher reads to them. In these schools children begin to learn to read and write.
From 7 to 11children go to a junior school in England. In this school children learn to read, write and do sums.
From 11 to 16 boys and girls go to a secondary school. They begin to study in the first form. The sixth form is the last form in this school. They have many subjects in their timetable. They are English, English Literature, a Foreign Language, Mathematics, History, Geography, Physics, Biology, Woodwork and Music. In England schoolchildren do not go to school on Saturdays and Sundays. The year starts in September and is divided into three terms. Pupils have holidays at Christmas and Easter and during the summer.
Schools in Ukraine.
Schools in Ukraine differ from the English schools.
There are12 forms in the secondary school in Ukraine. Children go to the primary school when they are six. They learn to read, write and do sums. The primary school lasts 4 years.
The pupils of the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th forms attend the middle school. They have many new subjects in their timetable.
After the 9th form children can go to the 10th form, to the vocational school or to the technical school.
After the high school children can enter the Institute or University.

The largest cities are: Kharkiv, Donetsk, Odessa, Lviv and others. There are many fields, forests and rivers in Ukraine. The Ukrainian flag is yellow-and-blue. I love my country.
