Передмова
Навчальний посібник призначається для студентів економічних спеціальностей, для яких розуміння фахової літератури іноземною мовою, іншомовне спілкування є професійною нагальною потребою сьогодення. Крім того, посібник може бути використаний в коледжах, а також для навчання аспірантів економічних вишів.
Мета посібника — розвиток навичок розуміння й аналізу текстів з основних проблем економіки, накопичення словникового запасу, удосконалення навичок іншомовного спілкування та умінь ведення дискусій англійською мовою, формування соціально-комунікативної позиції фахівця в галузі економіки.
Посібник складається із 10 розділів, які мають уніфіковану структуру. Кожний розділ містить окрему економічну проблему — тему. До текстів кожного розділу пропонуються дотекстові вправи на подолання фонетичних труднощів, коментар, лексичні вправи та завдання на відпрацьовування мовленнєвих навичок і вмінь використання лексичного матеріалу, що вивчається в ситуаціях реального спілкування. Це вправи на словотворення, перефразування, тлумачення окремих економічних термінів, переклад з української мови на англійську тощо.
Окрім того, в посібнику подано тексти для додаткового читання, які поглиблять знання в галузі економічної теорії та познайомлять з класиками економічних вчень та граматичні тести, які дадуть змогу студентам перевірити ступінь засвоєння граматичних правил англійської мови.
Заключна частина посібника містить матеріали для розвитку умінь письма.
