5. The sentences below are very formal. Some of them contain errors. Correct them.

  1. They agreed that the price be fixed at £ 6000 (BE).

  2. They begged that he should not drive in such weather, but alas! (AE)

  3. Finally Parliament decreed that the government should resign (BE).

  4. He directed that his house be given to the Ministry of Education (AE).

  5. We insisted that everyone be present (BE).

9. Translate into English using the conjunction lest followed by should for all the persons + infinitive or the conjunction that (so that) followed by can(could)/may (might)+infinitive.
