предпочитаю чай. Я ухожу из дома в 7 часов. Я всегда еду в колледж на

Present Continuous употребляется для выражения:
- действий, совершающихся в данный момент

- действий, происходящих в данный период времени (временные
ситуации)

ОБРАЗОВАНИЕ
Present Continuous образуется при помощи вспомогательного глагола to
be в соответствующем лице и числе и Participle I смыслового глагола:
(to be + Participle I)
Отрицательная форма образуется путём добавления частицы not
вспомогательному глаголу.

to be, to know, to understand, to think (в значении – полагать), to forget, to recognize, to want,
to wish, to like, to dislike, to hate, to see (в значении видеть), to hear, to believe, to have
(в значении иметь), to seem, to appear, to care и некоторые другие. Эти глаголы нужно
употреблять в Present Simple, даже если действие происходит в данный момент.

8. Read and translate the text. Pay attention to the use of Present Simple
and Present Continuous.
At the English lesson
English is an international maritime language. Every seaman must know
English well. Seamen of all countries speak English when they are in foreign ports.
They communicate with each other in English in multinational crews. Navigators use
English in radiocommunications with other ships and coastal stations. Navigating
officers must read and understand all navigational publications in English. So,
English is important for our future work and we learn it in our Maritime College.
We have English lessons twice a week, but it is not enough to master the
language. That is why we work hard at our English after classes too. We watch
movies in English, read books and magazines, speak English with foreign players in
online games. Our teacher advised us to switch our phones’ interfaces to English and
we followed her advice.
At the lessons we read and translate texts from English into Russian, do a lot of
exercises, play games, listen to recordings, watch educational films, read articles
from maritime journals, learn grammar rules, do tests and discuss different problems
in English. Today we are going to write a test in grammar.
