You needn’t be afraid of me
You needn’t have hurried
She needn’t spend money on furniture.
Need I come here once again?
He needs to sell the house as soon as possible.
They don’t need to go to school tomorrow.
How much time do you need to fix supper?
You needn’t set the alarm clock for 6 in the morning, I’ve
already set it.
They needn’t have taken along so many clothes.
needn’t have + past participle
He needn’t have booked the hotel because he stayed with
the local representative.
(= He booked it BUT it wasn’t necessary)
Kонструкция didn’t need to + infinitive предполагает, что
He didn’t need to stay in Hong Kong, so he left early and
went to Tokyo.
(= He didn’t stay in Hong Kong BECAUSE it wasn’t necessary)
