1.1. Read the following text and translate it into Russian.

All About Me: My Life, My Hobbies, and My Dreams

Hello! My name is Anna, and I am an eighteen-year-old first-year university student. I was born in a small city, but now I live in a big city because of my studies. I want to tell you about myself – my personality, my interests, my hobbies, and my daily routine.

I would describe myself as a cheerful and friendly person. I usually have a positive attitude, and I like to smile. I am also quite sociable; I enjoy meeting new people and making friends. I am not very shy, so it is easy for me to start a conversation.

However, I can also be very serious and hard-working, especially when I need to study for exams. I am a responsible student, and I always try my best to do well in my classes. My friends say I am reliable because I am always on time and I never forget my promises.

Sometimes, I can be a little impatient. I don’t like to be late or wait for a long time. I am also quite curious; I love learning new things and gaining new experiences.

In my free time, I have many hobbies. My biggest passion is photography. I love taking pictures of nature, especially flowers and sunsets. I think it is a very creative hobby. I upload my best photos to Instagram.

I am also a big fan of music. I enjoy listening to different genres, but my favourite is pop music. I often listen to music while I am on the bus or doing my homework. Sometimes, I even sing along to my favourite songs, but I am not a very good singer!

Another hobby of mine is reading. I prefer fiction books, like novels and detective stories. Reading helps me to relax and escape from reality for a while. I usually read for pleasure before I go to sleep.

I also like staying active. I am not a professional athlete, but I try to go for a run in the park two or three times a week. It helps me to stay in shape and clear my mind. In the winter, I don’t like to run outside, so I sometimes do yoga at home.

My daily routine is quite busy because I am a student. I usually wake up early, at about 7 a.m. I am not a morning person, so I need a strong cup of tea to start my day! After that, I take a shower, get dressed, and have a quick breakfast. I often eat yogurt with muesli or some toast.

My university classes start at 9 a.m. I usually take the bus to get there. I have lectures and seminars until 3 or 4 p.m. I always take notes during my classes because it helps me to remember the information.

After classes, I have lunch in the university canteen with my friends. This is a nice time to socialize and talk about our day. Then, I go to the library to study or go home if I don’t have a lot of homework.

In the evening, I always try to relax. I have dinner with my flatmates, and then we sometimes watch a movie or a TV series together. If I have free time, I pursue my hobbies, like reading or editing my photos. I also chat with my family or friends online.

I usually go to bed at about 11 p.m. I need about eight hours of sleep to feel good the next day.

I am very excited about my future. Now, I am focusing on my studies. I want to learn English very well because it is important for my future career.

In the future, I would like to travel the world and take beautiful pictures of different countries and cultures. My dream is to become a professional photographer. I know it is not easy, but I am motivated and willing to work hard to achieve my goal.

I also want to continue meeting new people and learning about their lives. I believe that every person has an interesting story to tell.
