.pdfAlcoholic drinks: beer, wine (But remember: the legal drinking age is 18 or 21 in most countries!)
Part 5: Which One is Better?
So, is it better to eat in or eat out?
The answer is: both! Most people do a mixture of both. During the busy week, they often cook simple and quick meals at home. On the weekend, or for a special occasion, they go out to a restaurant to relax and enjoy someone else’s cooking.
The most important thing is to enjoy your food and make choices that are good for your health, your wallet, and your happiness!

City Life vs Country Life: Two Different Worlds
Where do you prefer to live? In a big, busy city or in a quiet village in the countryside? This is a question many people ask themselves. Both places have their special atmosphere, advantages, and disadvantages. Your choice often depends on your personality, your job, and what you like to do in your free time.
Part 1: The Busy and Exciting City Life
Cities are places of energy and activity. They are usually crowded with people, cars, and tall buildings called skyscrapers. Life in the city is fast-paced.
What is good about city life?
Convenience and Opportunities: In a city, you have everything you need very close. There are many shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, cinemas, and hospitals. You can find almost anything at any time. There are also more job opportunities in many different fields, like business, technology, and art.
Public Transport: It is usually very easy to get around in a city. Most big cities have a good public transport system with buses, trains, trams, and the metro (subway). You often don't need a car.
Culture and Entertainment: Cities are full of cultural activities. You can visit museums, art galleries, theatres, and concert halls. There is always something to do. You can never be bored!
Meeting People: Because there are so many people, it is easy to meet new people and make friends from all over the world.
What is not so good about city life?
It is Expensive: Life in the city costs a lot of money. Rent for an apartment is very high. Eating out, going to the cinema, and other activities are also more expensive.
Noise and Pollution: Cities are often noisy and polluted. There is noise from traffic, construction, and people. The air quality is often not very good because of car fumes.
Stress: The fast pace of life can be stressful. People are always in a hurry. This can lead to stress and anxiety.
28
Lack of Space: Apartments in cities are often small. There is not much green space like parks and gardens.
Part 2: The Peaceful and Calm Country Life
The countryside is very different from the city. It is the area outside of towns and cities, with fields, forests, farms, and small villages. Life in the country is slow and calm.
What is good about country life?
Peace and Quiet: The countryside is peaceful and quiet. You can hear the sounds of nature, like birds singing. It is a great place to relax and escape from the stress of the city.
Nature and Fresh Air: There is a lot of nature all around you. You can see green fields, forests, and rivers. The air is fresh and clean.
Community: Villages are small, so people often know each other. There is a strong sense of community. People are friendly and helpful.
More Space: Houses in the countryside are usually bigger and have gardens. There is a lot of open space for children to play.
What is not so good about country life?
Fewer Amenities: There are not many shops, restaurants, or hospitals. To find a big supermarket or a good hospital, you often have to travel to the nearest town or city. This can take a long time.
Fewer Job Opportunities: There are usually fewer jobs, especially in specialized fields. Most jobs are in farming, forestry, or local shops.
Public Transport is Limited: It is difficult to get around without a car. Public transport is often infrequent (buses and trains don't come often) or doesn't exist at all.
It Can Be Isolating: For some people, especially young people, life in the countryside can be lonely or boring. There are fewer people to meet and fewer things to do.
Part 3: Comparing Lifestyles
Let's compare the two lifestyles directly:
Cost of living: The city is expensive. The countryside is cheaper.
Job opportunities: The city has many opportunities. The countryside has fewer opportunities.
Environment: The city is noisy and polluted. The countryside is quiet and has clean air.
People: In the city, people are busy and anonymous. In the countryside, people are friendly and know each other.
Activities: The city has many cultural activities. The countryside has outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and cycling.
Part 4: Which One is for You?
29
So, which is better? There is no right answer. It all depends on you!
If you like excitement, convenience, and meeting new people, you might prefer the city.
If you prefer peace, nature, and a strong community, you might prefer the countryside.
Many people dream of living in one place but actually live in the other. Some people compromise. They live in a small town near a big city. This way, they can enjoy the peace of a smaller place but can easily travel to the city for work or entertainment.
The most important thing is to be happy where you live. Do you like a fast-paced life or a slow-paced life? Your answer will help you choose your perfect home.
