A:Ok, ok.
B:I’ll wait for you outside. Please, be quick. You are always so slow.
A:Me, slow?! Never!
B:We’d better not start arguing.

A:Do you think we can get there by half past?
B:Well, it seems we can’t make it. Sorry...
A:Take me back home, please. I am tired. It took me too long to pack. And I really was slow.
B:It’s my fault. I should have hired a taxi for you.
A: Never mind. Let’s order something in and have a good time watching an old movie at home.

A French man was sentenced to death for committing a murder. The fatal hour arrived and the prisoner's head was shaved. The priest, the lawyer and the warden came to visit the prisoner in his cell.
“Do you want anything?” the lawyer asked the prisoner. “A glass of wine, perhaps?” “No, thank you.”
“Would you like a cigarette?” “No”
“It is customary to grant the prisoner's last wish,” the lawyer explained. “Your last wish will be granted. What is it?”
“I want to study English,” the condemned man said.
