  1. Поставь глаголы в скобках в нужную форму - Past Continuous или Past Perfect Continuous.

1.       Jim was on his hands and knees on the floor. He ________ (look) for his cigarette lighter.

2.       We ________ (walk) along the road for about 20 minutes when a car stopped and the driver offered us a lift.

3.       When I arrived, everyone was sitting round the table with their mouths full. They ____________ (eat).

4.       When I arrived, everyone was sitting round the table and talking. Their mouths were empty but their stomachs were full. They ____________ (eat).

5.       When I arrived, Ann ________(wait) for me. She was rather annoyed with me because I was late and she (wait) for me a very long time.

Future Perfect Continuous – употребляют, когда говорят о действии, которое будет происходить продолжительное время к определенному моменту в будущем. Сигнальные слова: for an hour - в течение часа, for a month - в течение месяца, for a long time - в течение долгого времени, долго, давно, since five o’clock - с пяти часов, since morning - с утра, all my life - всю жизнь, all day long - весь день, those three week - те три недели.

Повествовательные и отрицательные предложения:

I / We shall have (not) been Ving.

He / She / It / You / They will have (not) been Ving.

Вопросительные предложения:

Shall I / We have Ving?

Will He / She / It / You / They have Ving?

Модальные глаголы –can, -must, -may, -should

В английском языке есть группа глаголов, которые выражают не действия, а только отношение к ним со стороны говорящего. Они называются модальные глаголы. С их помощью говорящий показывает, что то или иное действие возможным или невозможным, обязательным или ненужным и т.д. К числу модальных глаголов относятся:

Can мочь, уметь, смочь; I can play the piano.
