Example 1:
Well, in general I would say that I simply adore comedies. I suppose the reason has something to do with the fact that they make me laugh and enjoy my life. Films in this style traditionally have a happy ending. In addition to this I suppose I am quite enthusiastic about watching romances. And I guess this is probably because they always serve as great escapes and fantasies for viewers, especially if the two people finally overcome their difficulties, declare their love, and experience life “happily ever after”, implied by a reunion and final kiss.
Example 2:
Well, to be honest, I should say that I really can’t stand horrors. This is due to the fact that they are usually scary and leave a deep and lasting impression of fear and dismay showing ghosts, aliens, vampires, werewolves, curses, satanism, demons, torture, vicious animals, monsters, zombies, cannibals, and serial killers. Also I totally detest science fiction. This could be because the films showing extraterrestrial life forms and alien worlds are often too much unbelievable.
