Вживання:

I am leaving for London tomorrow.

5. Зміна або розвиток ситуації.

Дієслова, які не вживаються в часі Continuous:

5. Abstract relations (абстрактних відносин): to be, to have, to consist of, to belong to, to own, to cost, to weigh, to contain

I. General (загальні)

Запитання , які потребують відповіді так або ні

II. Special (спеціальні)

Запитання, які починаються зі спеціальних запитальних слів (what, why, when , how, where)

How are you?

III. Alternative (альтернативні)

Запитання, які потребують вибору від співбесідника

Is this a book or a pen?

Did you study English or French?

IV. Disjunctive (tail ) (розділові)

Розділові запитання складаються із двох частин : перша стверджувальне речення, а друга - заперечне запитання і навпаки - заперечне речення і стверджувальне запитання ( чи не так)

UNIT III

I. Read and translate the text.

MY FIAT

My name is Alex. I want to tell you about the place where I live. My family has a nice flat in a new block of flats. It is 9-storeyed modern building which is situated not far from the centre of Kyiv near Pushkinsky park. We often go for a walk there. Our flat is on the third floor. It has all modern conveniences: central heating, gas, electricity, cold and hot water, a lift .

There are three rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a hall in our flat.

The living-room is the largest and most comfortable room in the flat. In the corner of the room there is an electrical fireplace. There are two comfortable arm-chairs in front of the fire place. We often sit there and talk. There are some glass shelves on the wall where you can see different souvenirs. . Between the two large windows there is a little table with a colour TV set on it. There is also a large comfortable sofa in our living – room. And of course there are a lot of flower in the room.

The bedroom is smaller than the living-room but it is light and very cosy. There is a big window in it. In this room there are two beds with a bedside-table between them. An alarm-clock and a small lamp with a pink lamp-shade are on the table. In the left-hand corner there is a dressing-table with a big mirror. In this room we have a built-in wardrobe with coat-hangers to hang clothes on. There is a thick round carpet on the floor .

The third room is my study. The study is my favourite room. It is large , light and very cosy. There isn't much furniture in it, only the most necessary. There is a writing-table and an arm-chair it. There is a large bookcase full of books, magazines and newspapers. There is a writing table in front of the window. There is a sofa with some cushions on it. There is a carpet on the floor.

But the warmest place in our flat is the kitchen, I think — the place where the whole family gathers every evening not only to have supper together, but also to speak and rest. There is a kitchen wall set, a fridge, a gas-stove, a dishwasher in our kitchen. And of course there is a big round table with chairs around it there.

I like my flat very much and it is really as the English proverb says: «My home is my castle» because my flat is, indeed, my castle.
