When millions of young people leave school, they begin an independent life. Some of them start working, gel business; some of them keep upgrading their schooling to receive higher education.

Young people can learn about professions in magazines and advertisements. Magazines for teenagers ofter «I! questionnaires, quizzes to help young people to find out their interests and abilities more clearly and to ~ai iecision concerning their future occupation.

During our school life, we begin to think about our future life, our job. There are many professions in the wm1 зо it is quite difficult to choose and make a decision. Some follow their own choice; some follow parent's aim-because they can help concerning future plans.

I never had a question, what I was going to do, when I was finishing my school. I have known it since being a si that I want to be, an interpreter. I have chosen this profession, because thnce of foreign languages a foreign cultures is growing nowadays. Foreign languages are needed as the main and the most efficient mesiw information exchange between the people on our planet. Although there are 3000 languages on the Earth, EngLM'i bhe most universal and widely spread. It is the language of science and technology, trade and cultural relations л business. It is the universal language of international aviation, shipping, sports and medicine. English is the of Зів language in nearly forty countries. MY FUTURE PROFESSION

As we know there are many professions in the world and all of them are necessary and important. It is not always easy to decide what you want to become. Many school-leavers face the problem of choosing their way in life. For example my cousin Kate chose the medical profession. She always wanted to be a doctor, she wanted to help people and at the same time earn good money. I should say that her parents were rather old-fashioned people and thought

The teacher's work requires love for tldren, much patience, profound knowledge of subjects and the ability to explain and to teach. Detective's job is г stressful. He must be brave, reasonable, smart, fair and strong and have extraordinary brains. By the beginning of the last year, I wanted to become a doctor. I thought it was a very prestigious profession. I •» good at biology and zoology at the 8 and 9 forms. I wanted to help people, who had problems with their health. I dw that a doctor should be noble in work and life, kind and attentive to people, honest and prudent. A doctor who elfish and dishonest can't be good at his profession. I tried to do my best to develop good characters in myself. Now, I have already decided what to do. I'd like to be a teacher. I know that it is very difficult to be a good cher. It is a hard profession. You should know perfectly the subj ect you teach, you must be well-educated and well-formed. A good teacher develops in his students a desire for knowledge and love for truth and beauty. It is a great ponsibility to educate the children. I think that's the reason why teachers are deeply respected. More and more people realize that every educated person should know a foreign language. That is why I'm going ibecome a teacher of English. I like English. I liked it from the first lesson we first started learning it and it is still r favourite subject. I will try to enter the department of foreign languages at the University. We study at universities or institutes to become a specialist for five years. If you want a bachelor degree, you •ve to study four years. After your final exams have passed, you are a qualified specialist. Some students keep tidying and enter a post-graduate course to follow an academic career. Most university graduates take up teaching ed return to school. I know that a teacher's job is quite difficult. A teacher can't say, that he knows everything, rofessional teacher is an experienced teacher. So, have graduated a university or institute, young specialists have any things to do to become a real professional teacher, an example of competence. So, choosing a career and then getting a job are two things, any person does in his lifetime. If we don't think about the future, we won't have one.
