Although we all agree that the future belong to air transport the railways today is still one of the lost popular means of transport and besides, it is one of the cheapest.

Let's have a look at the railway station, the trains come in and go out. We can see a train standing in one of the platforms ready to leave. It's a long distance train, it has got a lot of carriages, among them we can see a dining car and a luggage van.

Some of the passengers are looking out of the windows watching the late-comers who are hurrying long the platform to their carriages. Some people are standing on the platform near the train. They have з see their friends and relatives off. We can hear them saying "Good-bye" to each other.

The porters are very busy carrying the passengers’ luggage to the train or pushing it on their trucks. They are taking trunks and suitcases to the luggage van.

On the other platform a train has just come in. The passengers are getting out. Some of them are net by their friends and relatives. This train has made a long journey. Those are sleeping carriages in rant of the train, it's a slow train, not an express; it stop at many stations.

That train on the third platform is not a long-distance train, it's a local (suburban) train. There is no dining car in it. You can see many people with hand luggage on that platform. People are hurrying in all directions. We see those who haven't booked their tickets beforehand waiting in queues at the booking offісе.

Further along there are refreshment-rooms crowed with people. You can see them having a tasty mеаl. Those who have to wait for their train are sitting in the waiting hall. Some people are standing near the left-luggage office. They want to leave their luggage until certain time.

Man's desire to fly first found expression in fantasy and legend. Then he began to understand the air and true flight became possible. Today travelling by air is a common thing. Many people prefer this kind of travelling because it is more comfortable, more convenient, and, of course, much quicker than any other means of transport.

If you are in a hurry and want your time, you'd better travel by air because it is the fastest way of travelling. But there is one unpleasant thing about travelling by air - the price of the tickets is too high, the seats are rather expensive. But when you travel on business it makes no difference for you.

On a flight day after packing your things you get to the airport. You must check in your luggage and after the procedure of registration you board the plane. Now you can hear the engines start their work. The plan is taking off. It gains speed very quickly and in a few minutes you are already above the clouds. The land below looks like a small geographical map. After the plane has gained its regular height, the stewardess brings passengers some mineral water, sometimes tea and sandwiches. The seats on board the plane are comfortable, and you can sit in a cozy armchair and read a book, magazine or newspaper, look through the window to see the passing clouds. You may just as well have a sleep until you arrive at your airport. While you are sitting in armchair you are must fasten the seat belts. In front of you there is a cockpit where a pilot and mechanic sit. They both and a stewardess are the crew of the plane.

If you are traveling by plane, there is one thing you've got to bear in mind. Some people can't stand flying and they get airsick, in this case they have to take a pill for airsickness, and in some time they will feel much better. The stewardess will help them with their problems.

Soon the plane will land and arrive at its destination exactly on time.
