Exercise 340. State the type of the conditional sentence and translate it into Russian.

1. Ann would lend me some money if I asked her.

2. I’ll come tomorrow unless I have to work.

3. Joe can’t hear unless you shout.

4. If it stopped raining, we could go out.

5. If I knew his address, I’d write him.

6. How moth would you have spent on your holiday tour if you had gone first class instead of second?

7. Unless you leave early, you will be late.

8. I wouldn’t eat fish unless I was extremely hungry.

9. Tony wouldn’t have been so depressed if he had known the truth.

10. If I were rich, I would spend all my time traveling.

Exercise 341. Open the brackets and put the verbs into the correct form. Pay attention to the adverbial modifiers of time.

2. Unless house plants (water) regularly, they (die) quite quickly.

3. What noisy neighbours you’ve got! If mine (be) as bad as yours, I (go) crazy!
