Becoming and development of primary schools in Kazakhstan

(based on materials of 1861-1930 yy.)

13.00.01 – General Pedagogic, History of Pedagogic and Education, Ethnopedagogics

The essence of the research The President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbaev said that the main aim of the program “Cultural heritage” is the extol of national culture determination of achievements and problems of the forthcoming period.

It means that the problem is important, but is wasn’t still researched. In order to systematize the development of primary education in our republic at the second half of the XIX century and at the first half of the XX century we chose the theme “Becoming and development of primary schools in Kazakhstan”.

Purpose of the research To inculcate the signs of becoming and development of the primary schools in Kazakhstan at the second half of the XIX century and at the first half of the XX century into today’s educational establishments.

Object of the research To investigate the educational system of the primary schools at the second half of the XIX century and at the first half of the XX century.

Subject of the research Becoming and development of the primary schools at the second half of the XIX century and at the first half of the XX century.

Theoretical and methodological base of the research To find the connection of the historical system, display of the pedagogical research, principles of the dialectical process and the development of the individual person.

Scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the research

- the history of the primary schools in Kazakhstan at the second half of the XIX century and at the first half of the XX century (1861-1930yy);

- the scientific-pedagogical bases of the primary schools in Kazakhstan of the above mentioned period was proved, the description of the different primary school’s plans, programs, textbooks were given;

- connection between past and nowadays primary schools educational system was investigated;

- future of nowadays primary educational system’s development was proved.

Approbation of the main positions of the work were introduced in the materials of the International scientific-methodical conferences in (Kyzyl-Orda, Turkistan, Shymkent, Almaty, Aktobe-2004, 2005, 2006, 2007), republic and regional scientific-methodical conferences in (Shymkent, Almaty-2004, 2005, 2006, 2007), in the pedagog-professor’s scientific-theoretical, methodical practical conferences in the high educational establishments (Institute by M. Saparbaev, University by Al-Farabi, institute by M. Auezov)

Practical base of the research

1. The results of the research can be used in universities, institutions and in future in the “The history of pedagogic”, “Kazakh state pedagogical encyclopedia”.

2. Materials of the research can be used during the lessons, seminars of such subjects as “Pedagogic”, “History of pedagogic”, “Pedagogic of the primary school”, “Ethnopedagogics”, “Ethnophycology”, etc.

3. The bases of the research were introduced in the special course named “The history of the primary schools in Kazakhstan”. The books named “Pedagogic of the primary school”, “Pedagogical Dictionary” (with professor R.M. Koyanbaev) were published. They are used in the Kazakh- Turkish International University by H.A. Yassawi and Kazakh-Russian Institute.

In conclusion we can approve that we did intentions during the research work.

1. The investigated period is divided into three (1861-1890yy., 1891-1916yy., and 1917-1930yy.). Here we can see the connection between them in their history of development of primary schools their types and peculiarities, history and development of teachers training, perfection of the programs, quality, and organization of educational work in native language.

2. Primary schools which were established in Kazakhstan were developing. For example in 1861-1930 Muslim’s primary schools in accordance with colonial politics,russian,russian-kazakh and other Muslims, Kazakh national primary schools then in the soviet system.

From gradually perfection of primary school we can conclude that historical opinion about “illiterate 2 %” of our people is not right.

3. In the results of the research work there are some peculiarities. In concrete pedagogic phenomenon, regularities of their development, there is integrity of the historical period.

The results of the work can bring in an important contribution into the history of the Kazakh pedagogic.
