Targets
Automatically Tracking
The track can be activated automatically for all categories of target. To set general Mobile track option refer to the [Option: GPS and track] paragraph.
The default track color is green but as with any target (buoys) color can be modified according to a target information.
Targets Trails
You can view a target's history directly on the chart which appears as a trail of dots left by the target as it moves. The trail is shown on the chart (4) by green time-spaced dots marking the past positions of any targets. This allows you to evaluate a target's actions by the spacing between dots.
1 - Target's Vector
2 - Selected target
3 - Target's track is shown in the picture against by a green bold straight line.
4 - Target's trail shows all target's movement and it is drawn in green. For example as it is shown in picture, dots are nearest for reduced speed and far for increased speed.
To turn the past position display on or off, choose the
[Display Trail] from the [Targets] menu.
You can also change the display interval of these dots from the selected Target option:

Each target is monitored to determine if it will be within a certain distance (defined by the CPA) from your GPS within a certain time (defined by the TCPA).
CPA & TCPA alarm
When the predicted CPA of any target becomes smaller than a preset CPA alarm range or its predicted TCPA less than a preset TCPA alarm limit, a red triangle symbol appears nearest the target plot symbol. In addition, an audio alarm will sound if you have chosen this option in the settings dialog.
CPA/TCPA alarm ranges must be set up properly taking into consideration the size, speed and other characteristics of own ship.
As it is shown in the following picture with number (1), you can display the distance drawn on chart which corresponds to the collision avoidance between targets and the boat. At any time you can select or unselect [CPA displayed on chart] from the [Targets] menu for showing or hiding it on the chart.
CPA and TCPA information is an available information in each Targets Center and each target's Properties Window.
