3D View
Slope Size Representation
The scale changing allows you to emphasize the detail of the relief especially when it is slight, or, on the contrary to reduce it when the slope is steep.
3 pre-selected levels are proposed to you :
•
Small Slope
•
Normal Slope
•
Big Slope
Note :
(1)- the "Normal" mode allows you to see better the slight relieves and, on the contrary reduce the steep relieves.
(2)- the relief appears twice as big in Big Slope mode, and twice as small in Small Slope mode, compared to the Normal Slope mode.
To change the Slope size , select it from the Slope size pop-up located in the high left corner of the 3D Window :

Configuring manually
1. Select the User Config icon from the Slope Size pop-up

The values are corresponding to the multiplication coefficient applied to the depth values. The X,Y values are not modified.
To configure the Slope value, click on the Vertical scale pop-up and then, select the value of your choice.
Note:
You can also configure the Slope value directly from the scroll button of the mouse.
Moving Into 3D View
To zoom, click and slide backwards or forwards with the right button of the mouse on the 3D window.
3D View
A magnifying glass drawing indicates you that you are in position of zoom in or zoom out.
To turn around the relief , slide at left or at right with the left button of the mouse.
An arrow drawing indicates you that you are in position to turn around the relief.
Note : Each slide of the chart is automatically reported to the 3D display : the 3D window "follows" your current chart window.
3D View Overlay Modes
Five overlay modes are available in 3D view
To access them, select a mode from the Render Mode pop-up menu which is situated on the fourth position upper right hand of the software 3D window .

3D View Settings
In order to get a better display in the 3D window you can:
1.reach directly to the 3D configuration by selecting the button
situated at the bottom of the window 3D view.
2.configure the contrast of the 3D view by selecting the contrast button
at the bottom of the window 3D view..
3.configure the position of the 3D view with regard to the boat position by selecting the camera button
at the bottom of the window 3D view.
Optimizing 3D View Display
To obtain the best 3D velocity and graphic details, refer to MaxSea' choice for Hardware Requirements.
3D View
Note : the 3D window is in "hardware" mode if it’s possible for it to use the 3D card.
Otherwise, the 3D window is in "software" mode that is to say that all the 3D graphics are calculated by the software, without the help of the 3D hardware.
: "Software" mode
: "Hardware" mode.
If there is no 3D graphic card on your computer, the mode stays in "Software" mode
.
If the 3D graphic card on your computer has only 4Mo RAM, the mode stays in "Software" mode.
If your computer is very powerful you can optimize the 3D chart details and display speed.
To do so, refer to the PBG chapter.

Configure the contrast
You can adjust the 3D view contrast on the screen by selecting the "Contrast button" situated at the bottom of the window 3D view : 
•Click on the "Contrast" button and adjust it like in the following example:
White contrast (low contrast)

Black Contrast (high contrast)
3D camera options
If you want to configure the 3D view so that you are always viewing from behind or beside the boat, click on the camera button
situated at the lower left of 3D window.
Then the following dialog box appears :

•The 2D view option allows you to be centered according the 2D view. By default this option is selected and the Camera altitude options is not available.
•The boat option allows you to center the camera on the boat . By default the camera is positioned behind the boat and the camera moves according to the movement of the boat.
•The trawl option allows you to center the camera on the trawl. The camera moves according to the movement of the trawl. This option is unavailable if the trawl is not displayed.
Note: The Camera altitude can be changed with the boat or the trawl option.
2 -Two options for the camera altitude settings:
If the "Mobile altitude" option is selected , the camera is centered on the mobile's altitude ( if the Boat option is selected the mobile altitude is equal to 0 or if the trawl option is selected the mobile altitude is equal to the depth of the trawl).
The "On the ground" option is selected, the camera is centered on the ground.
