II. Прочитайте и переведите следующие предложения:

1. Hydrocarbons – crude oil and natural gas derived from the restructured hydrogen and carbon in the remains of early plant and animal life – occur as fluids that occupy the pore spaces of sedimentary rocks.

VIII. Прочитайте и переведите следующий текст. Выполните задания к тексту.

Helium plant is a structural subdivision of "Gasprom production Orenburg". It has unique capacities for Russia and Europe. In 2004-2006 the plant was totally reconstructed.

Reconstruction resulted in increase of ethane recovery up to 340 thousand tons, of light hydrocarbons wide fraction – up to 820 thousand tons, helium – to 6.5 mln. m3.

Capacity of the fractionating of light hydrocarbons wide fraction has increased twice. As a result the production volumes of liquefied gases, "A" grade propane, butane, pentane-hexane fraction have increased.

For the present "Gasprom production Orenburg" performs various activities, including: search and prospecting of new oil and gas pools; intensification of existing fields; production of gas, oil and condensate; processing of hydrocarbons of Orenburg gas condensate field at two plants, producing twelve items of goods; transport of gas, oil, condensate and processed products; subsurface gas storage; major and preventive repairs to wells; industrial construction and house-building; provision with gas and liquid fuel; industrial safety; gasification of settlements; environmental monitoring; research, design and other kinds of work.

"Gasprom production Orenburg" is a territorial production complex that has an advantage of being situated at the joint of Europe and Asia.
