Данное учебное пособие состоит из четырех разделов, общих для двух

(история и право), а также содержит тексты для дополнительного чтения. В
каждой теме представлены тексты и упражнения на развитие речевых
умений в говорении, чтении и письме. Порядок прохождения материала
может меняться, работу над упражнениями следует выполнять в
установленной последовательности.
Учебное пособие предназначено для студентов, обучающихся по
укрупненным группам специальностей и направлений подготовки
«Юриспруденция», «История и археология», изучающих дисциплину

ПРЕДИСЛОВИЕ
Представленное учебное пособие охватывает разделы учебной
программы по теме «Моя будущая профессия» и служит для обучения «языку
для специальных целей» (LSP), что предполагает обновление содержания
учебного материала с учетом профессионального и личностно-
ориентированного подхода. Также, к особенностям данного пособия относится
использование учебных материалов, направленных на усиление
коммуникативной направленности языкового образования, обеспечение
дифференциации и индивидуализации в обучении, а также внедрение
современных педагогических технологий.
Таким образом, обучение происходит по формуле «Профессия через
иностранный язык. Иностранный язык через профессию», так как настоящее
пособие является одним из вариантов углубления междисциплинарных связей
между изучаемыми дисциплинами правового и исторического характера и
предметом «Иностранный язык». Изучение тем и лексики профессиональной
направленности позволяет значительно обогатить устную речь студентов, их
вокабуляр, порождает дополнительную заинтересованность и положительную
мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка.
Разработка данного пособия основывалась на следующих положениях:
1. Владение иностранным языком является неотъемлемым компонентом
профессиональной подготовки будущих специалистов в области права и
истории.
2. Пособие носит коммуникативный и профессионально
ориентированный характер. Его задачи определяются коммуникативными и
познавательными потребностями будущего специалиста в области права и
истории.
3. Организация работы с использованием пособия предполагает
использование эффективных методов обучения (проектной методики,
дискуссии, и т.д.), которые успешно применяются в контексте личностно-
ориентированного подхода, а также учитывают потребности, интересы,
личностные особенности обучаемого как полноправного партнера во
взаимодействии с преподавателем.
Основной целью создания пособия автор небезосновательно считает
приобретение студентами коммуникативной компетенции и знаний правового,
исторического и социокультурного характера, позволяющих практически
использовать иностранный язык, как в профессиональной деятельности, так и в
целях дальнейшего самообразования. К другим целям данного пособия
относятся: формирование правовых убеждений и навыков законопослушного
поведения, активной жизненной позиции; повышение мотивации изучения
иностранного языка у студентов в контексте их будущей профессии;
расширение кругозора и общей эрудиции студентов, расширение их
аналитических способностей; развитие познавательных интересов студентов в
области права и истории, навыков исследовательской работы с источниками
информации; развитие творческой активности студентов; повышение уровня
культуры мышления, общения и речи.
К основным задачам пособия автор относит практическое овладение
студентами:
• навыками и умениями устной речи в пределах изучаемой тематики для
профессионального и повседневного общения;
• умениями и навыками чтения и понимания оригинальной иноязычной
литературы по специальности с целью извлечения информации, ее перевода,
реферирования и аннотирования;
• умением письменно фиксировать значимую для них информацию в
виде делового и личного письма, протокола и т.д.
Не менее важными задачами являются:
• включение в активный словарь студентов профессионально
ориентированной лексики;
• расширение объема рецептивного словаря студентов, объема и
глубины осваиваемых грамматических явлений;
• повышение культурологической эрудиции, необходимой для общения с
носителями иностранного языка и иной культуры, а также для понимания
аутентичных текстов.
Наряду с образовательными задачами в процессе работы с
использованием пособия «Моя будущая профессия» решаются и
воспитательные задачи. К таковым относятся: повышение уровня правовой
культуры студентов, расширение их кругозора; повышение уровня общей
культуры, а также культуры мышления, общения и речи.
Сверхзадачей пособия является подготовка студентов к дальнейшему
совершенствованию заложенных в ходе его изучения теоретических основ
права, истории и языка в течение всей жизни в соответствии с меняющимися
условиями после окончания вуза, вне педагогического вмешательства. В этой
связи особое внимание уделяется обучению студентов способам
самообразования, самопознания и самореализации, как в области права и
истории, так и в языковой сфере.
Учебное пособие состоит из девяти разделов: четырех разделов, общих
для двух специальностей, и двух частей для разных профессиональных
областей (история и право), а также содержит тексты для дополнительного
чтения. В каждой теме представлены тексты и упражнения на развитие речевых
умений в говорении, чтении и письме. Порядок прохождения материала может
меняться, работу над упражнениями следует выполнять в установленной
последовательности.

Volgograd State Pedagogical University
Volgograd State Pedagogical University is one of the most popular educational
establishments in our city. It was founded in 1931 as a Pedagogical Higher school.
Since that time it has prepared thousands of teachers and has become one of the
greatest scientific centres of methodical and pedagogical activities in our country.
For its great contribution to the field of education the Institute was awarded
the orders and in 1992 got the status of the Pedagogical University.
The academic year is divided into 2 terms: terminal examinations are held at
the end of each term. The programme of study is based upon obligatory and optional
subjects. History of Russia, Philosophy, Economics, Psychology, Principles of
Pedagogy, Practice of Teaching, Foreign Languages and Physical Training – are
obligatory subjects for all faculties. Besides, the students of each department study
some specialized subjects.
The University consists of many faculties. Some of them train teachers not in
one but in two subjects such as Mathematics and Physics, Biology and Chemistry,

Geography and Biology, Russian and foreign languages etc. Graduates receive
diplomas and can teach either one or two subjects in a secondary school.
The students of the University have every opportunity for work and rest:
modern laboratories, lecture-rooms, libraries, reading-halls and hostels. There is also
a students’ research society at the University, where the students can develop their
creative thinking and are able to do their scientific work.
Volgograd State Pedagogical University has an efficient teaching staff. Among
them there are academicians, Doctors of Science, Candidates of Science. Only
within the recent years hundreds of monographs, textbooks and academic works have
been published by the scientists of the University. The results of research are used in
the teaching process.
Some students get a scholarship. Tuition at the University is free of charge, but
some students pay for their education. All students do training practice at school and
in camps.
Volgograd State Pedagogical University is well-known not only in Russia, but
in other counties as well. Many students from different countries study here.
