♫ Thank You for the Music
lyrics and music by B. Anderson and B. Ulvaeus
performed by ABBA
I’m nothing special,
In fact, I’m a bit of a bore1.
If I tell a joke
You’ve probably heard it before.
But I have a talent,
A onderful thing:
As everyone listens
When I start to sing.
I’m so grateful2 and proud,
All I ant is to sing it of love.
Refrain:
So, I say
Thank you for the music
The songs I’m singing.
Thanks for all the joy
They’re bringing.
Who can live ithout it? –
I ask in all honesty.
What ould life be
Without a song or dance,
What ould I be?
So, I say
Thank you for the music,
For giving it to me!
Mother says I as a dancer
Before I could alk.
She says I began to sing
Long before I could talk.
And I’ve often wondered
3
Ho did it all start?
Who found out that nothing
Can capture4 a heart like a melody can?
Well, hoever it as I’m a fan.
Refrain
I’ve been so lucky
I am the girl ith golden hair.
I ant to sing it out to everyone.
What a joy! What a life!
What a chance!

Without thinking, ahuh ,
Without thinking, ahuh.
Of the time,
Of the time hen I’ve been alone.

♫ People
lyrics by B. Merrill, music by J. Styne
performed by Ella Fitzgerald
People, people ho need people
Are the luckiest people in the orld.
We’re children needing other children
And yet letting our gronup pride
Hide all the needs inside,
Acting more like children than children.
Lovers are very special people,
They are the luckiest people in the orld.
With one person, one very special person
A feeling deep in your soul says,
You ere half, no you’re hole.
No more hunger and thirst.
But rst be a person, ho needs people.
People, people ho need people
And I need you, people.
Yes, I’m the luckiest person in the orld.
I’ve got you, you, you and you, all of you.
I’m so lucky I’ve got people.
I’m so grateful for people
Like you. God bless2 you.
Thank you. Good night.
