Christmas is an important holiday in many countries. It’s the time for giving
and receiving gifts. In the USA many children believe that it’s a person called Santa
Claus who brings the gifts. He lives in the North Pole and on the night before
X-mas he delivers gifts to children all over the world in a sleigh pulled by reindeer.
So children often send their letters… to say him what they want for X-mas.
Here’s the letter from Tommy:
Dear Santa,
(for Mother)
Bring her gloves for the cold,
Bring her earrings1 made of gold,
Bring her chocolate, candies, games and nuts,
Bring her money, bring her lot.

Bring him ties for his suits,
