Ex. 18. Imagine Ihat you are talking to your friend. You havt the same ideas, tastes, circumstances etc. as your friend. Use So ...or Neither....

Ex. 22. a) Read the conversation, b) Say whether the same is true for any of your class­mates.

Teachers compare their students' work and exam results. Now they are lalk-ing about Mary.

A.: Last year Mary passed her exams with satisfactory results. This year she passed the exams with a very good result.

B: 'That's true. She must have worked hard this term. She must have taken additional classes.

Bob: I'm thinking of getting a second education. It's so hard to find a job

with a diploma in classical languages. Alice: I know how you feel. You believe you should have studied something

more practical. Bob: Thai's right. If I'd been more far-sighted (дальновидный), I would

have majored in economics or finance. Alice: Why did you major in classical languages?

Bob: I wanted to teach at. our local university. Now 1 see that I should have listened to my parents. They wanted me to get a diploma in finance or business administration.

Alice: Many people regret the choices they have made. Bob: You are right.
