VII. Translate the following sentences into English.
Психологическая социология видела своей задачей рассмотрение субъективных причин социальных явлений. Она призывала изучать социальное поведение индивидов и целых социальных групп, исходя из особенностей психологических реакций. Заслугой психологической социологии стало обращение к проблеме личности как основного субъекта социальной реальности.
2. Значительное распространение в социологии второй четверти XX столетия получил бихевиоризм. Бихевиоризм был привнесен в социологию из психологии. Из общепозитивистской установки исследовать только внешне наблюдаемые явления бихевиоризм вывел принцип изучения социального поведения как совокупности речевых, двигательных и психических реакций на воздействия внешней среды. Ментальные, сознательные факторы человеческого поведения не должны, по мнению бихевиористов, исследоваться социологией, т.к. они недоступны опытному изучению.
Авторы теории социального обмена Питер Блау и Джордж Хоманс предложили рассматривать социальное поведение как совокупность актов взаимообмена. Вступая во взаимодействия с другими людьми, человек всегда стремится получить от них социальное вознаграждение — одобрение, помощь, поддержку, уважение, наслаждение, радость и т.п., предлагая им взамен что-то от себя.
Основоположник теории символического интеракционизма Джордж Мид показал, что взаимодействие между людьми опосредуется различными символами — языковыми, предметными, ментальными. Социальная жизнь, по Миду, это игра, в которой люди играют различные роли, используя при этом определенную систему символов. Эта концепция получила название ролевой теории.
Основоположник драматургической теории социального взаимодействия Ирвин Гоффман проводит аналогию повседневной жизни с театром. Согласно его концепции, люди руководствуются в своих действиях прежде всего стремлением произвести на партнеров хорошее впечатление. Для этого они используют целый репертуар «управления впечатлениями», стараясь вызвать по отношению к себе позитивные сигналы. Они постоянно играют, стараясь представить себя в лучшем свете. Особенно они беспокоятся о внешнем виде, осанке, одежде, жестах, т.к. это самая первая информация, которую о них получают партнеры.
По мнению классика социологии Чарльза Кули, все люди придают огромное значение социальному восприятию своей персоны, поэтому они стремятся привести свои действия в соответствие с ожиданиями аудитории, стараются представить, что другие, прежде всего, «значимые другие» о них думают, и в соответствии с этим формируют свое поведение.
