8. Prepositional phrasal verbs

Translate the sentences keeping in mind that the prepositions after the

verbs change their familiar meaning

set

1. Could you set down your objections in a written form?

2. This accident has set off a chain reaction in the society.

3. I`m afraid, the rain has set in for the whole day.

9. Word formation (Different ways to construct the words or new notions)

9.1 Form adjectives by adding the suffix -ful and translate them into

9.2 Form nouns by adding the suffix -er or –or and translate them.

9.3 Give antonyms to the following words:

9.4 Translate the words keeping in mind their suffixes and prefixes

necessary – necessitate – necessity – necessitous
