* «Дипломатический корпус – это совокупность независимых друг от друга дипломатических представителей, общими для которых являются страна пребывания и характер их деятельности. Понятие «дипломатический корпус» часто употребляется в более широком смысле. Тогда в него включают всех работников посольств и миссий, которых страна пребывания признает в качестве дипломатического персонала. В этом случае к дипломатическому корпусу помимо дипломатических сотрудников и проживающих с ними постоянно членов семей относятся торговые представители (советники) и их заместители, военные атташе и их помощники, специальные советники и атташе (по экономическим вопросам, культуре, сельскому хозяйству и т.д.), а также члены их семей».

* Главы представительства подразделяются на три класса, а именно:
- класс послов и нунциев, аккредитуемых при главах государств, и других глав представительств эквивалентного ранга;
- класс посланников и интернунциев, аккредитуемых при главах государств;
- класс поверенных в делах, аккредитуемых при министерствах иностранных дел.
*Личность дипломатического агента неприкосновенна. Он не подлежит аресту или задержанию в какой бы то ни было форме. Государство пребывания обязано относиться к нему должным уважением. Дипломатический агент освобождается от всех налогов, сборов и пошлин. Частная резиденция дипломатического агента пользуется такой же неприкосновенностью, что и помещения представительства.
* Верительные грамоты – это документы, с помощью которых осуществляется аккредитация дипломатического представителя. Верительная грамота удостоверяет представительский (дипломатический) характер миссии и личность дипломатического представителя. Она содержит имя и титул (звание) отправителя и получателя, имя и ранг дипломатического представителя, просьбу «верить» последнему именно в качестве представителя данного государства. Дипломатический представитель вручает верительную грамоту при первой аудиенции у главы государства, а ее заверенная копия предварительно передается главе МИД.
*В пятницу, послы 12 государств – Брунея, Джибути, Лаоса, Латвии, Коста-Рики, Марокко, Молдавии, Сербии, Сьерра – Леоне, Франции, Швейцарии и Японии вручили Президенту России свои верительные грамоты. В соответствии с протоколом, за каждым послом был прислан автомобиль представительского класса ЗИЛ. Примерно за 20 минут до начала церемонии дипломаты въехали во внутренний дворик кремлевской резиденции. Пройдя через парадный подъезд, послы поднялись по парадной лестнице Большого Кремлевского дворца на второй этаж. По пути их следования был выставлен почетный караул. Церемония по традиции завершилась кратким общением президента России с каждым послом с бокалом шампанского.
