Tasks:
1. Compare and contrast the structural and semantic ways of proverbs, sayings and their functions in speech in Kazakh and Russian languages. Then make up a table that shows their correspondences and similarities. Work out an outline how to present them in class.

3. Choose any one literary work of famous English or American writers. You may take even the part or extract from these works, then choose examples of phraseological units, proverbs and sayings.
