Phraseology 3
Introduction
The standard words and phrases and their meanings are given in this chapter. They cover general phraseology, coordination between units and various procedures, as well as the whole range of services available on area, approach, ground and radar control.
In order to get some idea of the use of correct phraseology, let us consider a VFR (visual flight rules) flight from Oxford to Gloucester, with some radar assistance from Brize Norton along the way. Remember, we are only talking about VFR communications here.
