9. Read the following statements and express your agreement or disagreement. When you disagree give the correct information.

To express your agreement use such expressions as:

I think, that exactly so; How right you are; Speaking frankly, you are quite right; Exactly, just so; I quite agree with you; I fully agree with you; I can't agree more; That is my opinion too; That is very true; etc.

To express your disagreement use such expressions as:

I am afraid you are wrong/ mistaken/ not quite right; Nothing of the kind; It is unlikely; It is doubtful; I don't think you are right; Well I think that's not so; Are you sure?; That's your opinion, not mine; I don't believe that; etc.

To give the correct information and to express your opinion use such expressions as:

I think/ suppose/ believe/ consider/ feel/ guess; In my opinion; From my point of view; Frankly speaking; As far as I understand; The matter/ the problem/ trouble is that; etc.

1. We study at the same University and at the same faculty, but Vladimir faces different problems and has other daily routine as me.

2. He can't organize his time wisely and he doesn't know in what order he should do things.

3. In the morning I am refreshed and full of energy while he is wandering round the kitchen, fighting the urge to go back to bed, he manages to have a quick shower, eat a full breakfast and set off for the university.

4. His study keeps him busy all the day long.

5. We have lectures, practical lessons, laboratory works and designed classes, where we are trained to draw logical conclusions, to record observations accurately and to present scientific reports.

6. We are never familiarized with the characteristics of engineering materials, equipment and machines.

7. We don't study different branches of engineering.

8. Of course subjects we study at the University don't differ from those we learnt at school.

9. At lunch time I meet up with Vladimir to have a snack and to talk about different things.

12. He knows that keeping up late ruins his health that is why he is never tempted the idea of putting his homework off and as a rule he sits up late.

Yes, he is good at it. He knows in what order he should do things though sometimes he spends sleepless night at disco clubs.

He is a sporty person and to keep himself fit from time to time he works out in the gym.

Usually he ends up with his study. He has a supper on a tray looking through summaries and watching TV for a while.
