Viewing Errors in Time Order

You can view errors in the Comparescan window in time order instead of in hierarchical order.

When you view errors in time order, you can determine which error occurred first (and possibly caused the other errors) in a comparison, and you can identify compare errors that are clustered in time.

To view your compare errors in time order, click TimeView or select View—View by Time from the Comparescan menu.

The Comparescan window lists all of the signal compare mismatch errors by simulation time, as shown in Figure 3-9 on page 30. The simulation time is listed to the left of each signal compare mismatch error.

To view the same error database in both hierarchical order and time order simultaneously, choose Window—New Window. Set one of the windows to hierarchical view and one to time view.
