Training
The increase in the number of tasks which need carrying out at the Olympic Games, in addition to the actual organizational work itself, has led to the need for increasingly specific training programmes, and a range of different models has been employed in some of the more recent Games.
Volunteer training was made up of three basic courses: a culture course, another on tasks and functions and finally, a practical hands-on course.
However, what has become increasingly clear over recent Games, is the growing need for high-level professional training in many spheres, especially in the field, of new information technologies and languages.
