Vesa Local Bus

(VL-Bus) - A 32-bit local bus that runs between the CPU and peripheral devices at speeds up to 40MHz.

Virtual Memory

Simulated memory. When RAM is full, the computer swaps data to the hard disk and back as needed. See Swapping.

Virus

A program usually disguised as something else, that is loaded onto your computer without your knowledge and runs against your wishes. It may either cause damage (by erasing or corrupting data) or irritate users (by sending out hundreds of pieces of email, or printing messages).
