СV (curriculum vitae) – резюме

Nowadays more and more graduates and professionals are looking for opportunities to live and work in a foreign country. Even if you are a strong candidate, the application process for foreign jobs is not straightforward. For example, when you write your CV it is a good idea to check if a photo is necessary or some other things. You also need to consider the cover letter, the first thing that an employer will read. Approaches differ from country to country: get the CV right but the cover letter wrong and you may destroy your chances of getting shortlisted for interview.

When it comes to interviews, it is important to show that you understand the working culture of this country. If you adapt a similar style of dress to your co-workers, if you eat the kind of food they eat or if you enjoy similar activities – these things will help you win trust and respect. People like people who remind them of themselves, and nobody likes what they don’t understand.
