The monograph describes the rise of sociology as an independent academic science springing from fundamentally new quality which social cognition has started to acquire since the middle of the 19* century. Contributions of various sociological cultures rooted in French, German, English, Italian, Russian, American languages and traditions are covered, and there also has been done analysis of world-spread concepts in international sociology that constituted methodological premises for multiple sociological research at the 19^th -beginning of the 20^lh centuries.
