Трансгенная катастрофа или устойчивое развитие агроэкосистем

(вместо заключения)

Во второй половине XX века антропогенная деятельность по подавлению фитопатогенов, вредителей и сорняков стала реальной силой, движущей эволюцию агросферы. Человечество вносит в агроландшафты огромные количества соединений, которые только временно сдерживают размножение нежелательных организмов, но в конечном счете, стимулируют их эволюцию в направлении выработки их резистентных форм (126).

Создание и массовое возделывание ТР, имеющих экологические преимущества – это качественно новый шаг в эволюции агросферы, направляемой человеком. В то же время, это очередной шаг от стратегии подавления вредных организмов к стратегии повышения экологических преимуществ культивируемых растений. Большинство ТР конструируются именно для того, чтобы они имели значительные экологические преимущества в сравнении со своими исходными, не трансгенными формами. Как отмечалось, такие преимущества – это устойчивость к вредителям, фитопатогенам, вирусам, гербицидам и абиотическим стрессорам. Означает ли это (127), что на достаточно больших временных промежутках экологическое преимущество приведет и к эволюционному? В каком направлении будут эволюционировать сообщества трансгенных и не трансгенных агроэкосистем? Как они будут взаимодействовать? Разрешима ли задача по обеспечению устойчивого сосуществования и развития трансгенных и традиционных сортов растений?

Пока что обобщение и предварительный анализ опубликованных материалов по экологическкой оценке производства ЭТР позволяют сделать предварительный вывод о том, что степень тяжести возможных негативных последствий возделывания ЭТР (как и вероятность их реализации) остается неопределенной. Тем не менее, если хотя бы некоторые из рассмотренных экологических рисков будут реализованы, то они широко распространятся и/или будут длительное время существовать в агросфере (по типу “Пандоры”). Вот почему одним из актуальных этапов исследования данной экологической проблемы должно стать концептуальное обоснование создания тест-системы эколого-токсикологической оценки безопасности ЭТР и последующая реализация основных ее элементов. При этом важно будет получить убедительные ответы на целый ряд вопросов.

Разумеется, проблема экологической оценки длительного возделывания ТР разрешима лишь в той степени, в какой окажется возможным прогнозировать экологические и эволюционные последствия интродукции ТР и заранее, исходя из четко сформулированных приоритетов, принимать необходимые оперативные меры (128). Такое прогнозирование возможно с использованием, во-первых, научно обоснованных методов предварительной оценки экотоксикологического риска в лабораторных и камерных (тепличных) условиях, во-вторых, научно обоснованной программы непрерывного агроэкологического мониторинга с учетом экологических характеристик АЭС и агроландшафта и, в-третьих, построения математических моделей, предсказывающих достаточно сложное поведение взаимодействующих трансгенных и природных консорбентов АЭС.

Следует указать, однако, на принципиальные трудности, с которыми сталкивается прогнозирование поведения экосистем, основанное на математическом моделировании их пространственно-временной динамики или на анализе временных рядов, полученных в ходе наблюдений (экспериментов). Обычно такая динамика хорошо прогнозируется только на сравнительно коротких временах, ограниченных так называемым горизонтом предсказуемости (129). В ряду множества факторов, ограничивающих время предсказуемого поведения, особенно существенными являются локальная неустойчивость экосистемы и бифуркации в ходе её эволюции. Методы теории нелинейных процессов позволяют производить оценку горизонта предсказуемости и исследовать его зависимость от параметров исследуемой экосистемы.

Методы предварительных оценок риска, связанного с ТР могут быть как унифицированными, так и узкоселективными, приложимыми лишь к ограниченному классу ТР, специфическим природно-географическим и климатическим условиям.

Желательно разумеется, чтобы в комплексе таких методологически обоснованных оценок был бы блок методов, максимально унифицированных и стандартизованных и, вместе с тем, концептуально обоснованная методология, позволяющая прогнозировать риски исходя из сугубо специфических характеристик как самого ТР, так и региона его планируемой интродукции.

В данной работе продемонстрирована необходимость разработки комплексной системы оценки экологических рисков и прогнозирования для не целевой биоты потенциальных опасностей, связанных с производством ЭТР. В составе этой комплексной тест-системы предложены унифицированные элементы, в частности:

- оценка динамики и баланса энтомотоксина в модельной АЭС,

- оценка общий токсичности, мутагенности, других отдаленных последствий ЭТР в отношении не целевых почвообитающих беспозвоночных животных и гидробионтов,

- оценка потенциальной ивазивности ЭТР,

- оценка степени поражения ЭТР целевых и не целевых организмов in situ,

- определение частоты встречаемости аллелей устойчивости к энтомотоксину среди природных популяций членистоногих вредителей и других животных,

- методы определения степени доминантности таких мутаций, и подходы, предназначенные для оценки специфических рисков, связанных с конкретными природно-климатическими условиями региона планируемой интродукции ЭТР, в частности, методология:

- оценки популяционной структуры и динамики АЭС,

- оценки влияния прикорневых экссудатов ЭТР на ризосферные популяции доминантных видов микроорганизмов,

- оценки риска интрогрессии трансгенов за счет переноса пыльцы ЭТР.

Предлагаемый подход в оценке потенциальных агроэкологических рисков производства ЭТР базируется на основных принципах и положениях Картахенского Протокола по биобезопасности Международной конвенции о биологическом разнообразии (9-10), ратифицированного многими странами-участниками форума Рио-92, включая Россию и страны ЕС. Разумеется, методы оценок экологических рисков, связанных с современной генно-инженерной биотехнологией, должны постоянно развиваться, уточняться и совершенствоваться. Было бы весьма желательно, чтобы темп развития и применения этих методов опережал мировой рост производства трансгенных растений. Этого пока не наблюдается.
