1. Do you play any musical instruments? How long do have you played? How well do you play?

I don’t play any musical instruments, but I think that I could become a good pianist, that is because I love listening classical music. And I’m really impressed with the play on the piano. Classical music gives me delight, pleasure, partly sensual, partly intellectual. Classical music is always a complex of emotions, excitement and the same time, love for others and desire to be something for them. When listening to classical music I have to combine all my fillings into one and to give it the name which will be happiness.

Classical music makes me calm down, relax, go into myself and think about issues of Philosophy. But I especially like classical music in modern arrangement. It is fresh, fashionable and pleasant to listen to.

2. What is a new popular type of music at the moment? Can you describe it?

There are a lot of different styles of music. Such as: Jazz, Pop, Rock, Classic; and new musical directions Such as: Rave, Hard Core, Jungle, Break Beat RAP, Hip-hop, and many other. I would like to tell some words about new style of music-techno.

Techno is a form of electronic dance music (EDM) that emerged in Detroit, Michigan, USA during the mid to late 1980s. The first recorded use of the word techno, in reference to a genre of music, was in 1988. Many styles of techno now exist, but Detroit techno is seen as the foundation upon which a number of subgenres have been built.

The initial take on techno arose from the melding of Eurocentric synthesizer-based music with various African American styles such as Chicago house, funk, electro, and electric jazz. Added to this was the influence of futuristic and fictional themes that were relevant to life in American late capitalist society—particularly the book The Third Wave by Alvin Toffler. Germany was its cradle, and its paternity is attributed to the band Kraftwerk, that in 1971 already made Techno music.

3. Do you prefer classical music to pop music? Why? Give arguments.

As for me, though I love classical music, I still prefer pop music to classical one. Many young people today are gravitating towards new rhythms probably as a result of changing times. Pop has permitted all the mass media. Pop may be said to have emerged in the mid 1950’s with arrival of rock’n’roll. The voice of the new groups is pure and clear and they sing about the things that are important in life. Pop music has always been influenced by other forms of music: by jazz, the blues, classical music, etc. As for me, I think that pop music is for fun, for setting the mood, and if you want to relax, think about issues of Philosophy you should listening classical music.

4. Do you like heavy metal? What is your impression of heavy metal’s image?

I don’t like heavy metal. Firstly, I think it’s too loud. Secondly, I think that it isn’t music, it is just a bunch of a strange sounds. I prefer pop music to heavy metal. И здесь с третьего вопроса все про поп музыку.
