Equilibrium (part XVI)

I. Memorise the following words & be ready to use them in speech as active vocabulary;

to escort – to go somewhere with someone in order to be certain that they arrive at the right place;

to be on one’s way – to proceed in the same direction as someone is going;

II. Match the active vocabulary words with their exact synonyms:

to escort to follow sb;

to date with;

to be on one’s way to keep on going the same way;

opinion;

III. Read the questions below and find the answers in the film:

1) Did the chief policeman get to know Preston before?

2) What did Preston ask the chief policeman about? Did he follow it? Why?

IV. Discuss the following questions in pairs or groups of threes using your active vocabulary:

Why didn’t police follow Preston’s order to leave him alone? Did Preston have to annihilate the police?

V. Fill in the gaps:

VI. Act out the episode by heart: Equilibrium (part XVII)

I. Look through the words necessary to understand the episode;
