Kata Bunkai

Semete (attacker) will generally attack from zen kutsu dachi; however, grasping techniques (tsukami waza) are generally performed from heiko dachi. Ukete (defender) will in general begin from a neutral position, heiko dachi. This will be referred to as kamae.

KAMAE

Basic Japanese/Okinawan terminology has been used wherever possible in lieu of English, as this is the common language of the dojo and the IOGKF. Some notes have been added to the end of some of the bunkai as a clarification of important detail, implied teachings, to point out deeper concepts contained within the bunkai or to relate feelings/attitudes, which should be present during the performance of a specific technique.
