Acquisition – a subconscious process like effortless mastery of language, knowledge in other fields through being exposed to.
Activation is based on putting into action the course of completing the task.
Appropriacy – choosing language (register, style, vocabulary) that is not just correct but also appropriate to the situation.
Cognitive effort – an effort to think about the particular issue, to interpret it.
